The Fundraising and Administration Intern assists CPC Board with activities related to the museum’s on-going fundraising and in the completion of general administrative tasks. He/She assists CPC Board in the planning and implementation of programs, events, and projects through clerical support.
Responsibilities include:
- ·Coordinating communication with and providing support for fundraising committee members.
- ·Maintaining updated & accurate prospect lists.
- ·Creating brochures, forms, and documents directly related to fund-raising.
- ·Researching, writing, editing & tracking grants.
- ·Working to develop recognition plaques, posters, and certificates.
- ·Providing clerical support and assistance with special events, programs, and projects.
- ·Ensuring the accuracy of reports, records, etc. through the use of editing skills and fact-checking.
- ·Assisting in the general operation and maintenance of the museum through tasks such as duplicating, faxing, answering telephones, taking messages, mailing, typing, running errands, etc.
- ·Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
- ·Knowledge of technical writing practices.
- ·Experience in writing grant proposals.
- ·Experience in research methodology.
- ·Strong organizational skills.
- ·Good attention to details and ability to meet deadlines.
- ·Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, OFFICE 97 or 2000.
Availability:
All Semester internships are available. Work can occur on site, or some can be done from home/office location. Interns are expected to work an average of 10-12 hours/week.
